Award Winners Announced at the 37th RoMedINF Conference 2023

The RoMedINF 2023 awards committee declared the following winners amongst participants to our 37th conference at the West University of Timișoara, Romania:

The EDMOND NICOLAU award was given to two teams this year:

  • Małgorzata SKORUPA, affiliated to Department of Physical Chemistry and Technology of Polymers, Silesian University of Technology, Poland, with the paper: Małgorzata SKORUPA, Taral PATEL, Abdullah, Sara SHAKIBANIA, Vikas SHUKLA, Ihtisham ULHAQ, Katarzyna KRUKIEWICZ – Development ofMultifunctional Biomaterials by Combining Electrochemistry, Microbiology, and Neural Tissue Engineering
  • Ana BALAN, affiliated to RomSoft SRL, Romania with the paper: Ana BALAN, Patient-Centric Decentralized Applications for Secure Personalized Medicine. The award has been assigned for the best medical informatics technological solution.

The ROMEDINF award was given to Alexandru TÎRZIU, affiliated to Department of Functional Sciences, “Victor Babeş” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Romania, with the paper: Alexandru TÎRZIU, Leonard MADA, Corina VERNIC, Virgil PĂUNESCU – Immunoinformatics-Driven Design of an HPV-16 and -18 Synthetic Long Peptide Vaccine. The award has been assigned for the best work contributing to the development of medical informatics.

The MONICA MĂRĂȘOIU award is given for the best work presented by a young researcher (under 35 years of age) was given to Etidal-Mihaela MANOLIU-HAMWI affiliated to “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași, Romania, with the paper: Etidal-Mihaela MANOLIU-HAMWI, Cristina Gena DASCĂLU, Georgeta ZEGAN and Cătălina Daniela STAN – Validation and Application of an Online Pharmacy Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire.

The INFORMATICS IN NURSING award is given for the best contribution of informatics in nursing and was attributed this year to Doina Carmen MAZILU, affiliated to The Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants in Romania – Bucharest Branch; Romanian Centre for Nursing Research: A JBI Centre of Excellence, with the paper: Doina Carmen MAZILU, Viorica NEDELCU, Corina VERNIC, Mariana ZAZU – Knowledge, Attitude and Use of Evidence-Based Practice among Nurses and Midwives in Bucharest Hospitals.
